Highlights of the report include: The Australian M&A market has once again shown its resilience to a wide array of economic pressures. 1 100 deals published in FY23 in the AU and NZ mid-market M&A sector– down from 1 183 in FY22. Deal value across Australian and New Zealand is down by $4M to an average of $34M. Top-3 performing sectors were IT, Services and Financial Services, with consolidations in the Services industry identified as a key trend. The average deal size in the APAC region has decreased from $33m in FY22 to $26m in FY23, as dealmakers and their clients are being forced to consider valuations more carefully in light of increased funding costs.
