David has been in public practice since 1986 and is currently the Managing Partner of the Perth practice of Moore Australia, Chairman of the National network, a Moore Global Board member and is the Energy, Mining and Renewables Sector lead for the Moore Global network. In addition to his leadership roles, David has considerable experience across a broad range of industries including energy, mining and renewables. David’s significant “hands on” practical experience and client exposure over a long period of time provides a deep level of experience, expertise and knowledge.

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), Warren is working to increase mineral exploration and mining activity in Australia, and to ensure Australia remains a highly attractive place for resource investment.
Before joining AMEC, he has worked for significant advocacy and membership organisations, including the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA (CME), and the WA Local Government Association (WALGA).

KRISTEN HAINES

With over 15 years' experience in Accounting Standards, Kristen helps teams apply and simplify financial reporting requirements. Kristen started her career at the AASB and progressed to auditing roles with a big-4 firm. In addition to financial reporting, Kristen leads our implementation of sustainability reporting, training teams and clients on this emerging area. Kristen is an integral part of our internal training team, presents to clients and produces guidance publications on topical issues and the latest corporate reporting developments.

SIOBHAN HAMMOND

AUSTRALIAN ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD

Siobhan leads the AASB Sustainability Reporting staff in the development of sustainability reporting standard-setting projects. Prior to joining the AASB, Siobhan worked as a project manager at the International Accounting Standards Board where she was responsible for the Definition of Material, Disclosure of Accounting Policies and Extractive Activities projects and assisted on a number of Disclosure Initiative projects. As part of that experience Siobhan developed a strong understanding of international technical accounting and reporting issues and standard-setting.

EMILY BRIGGS
DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL, CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABILITY
DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION

Emily Briggs started as the inaugural Deputy Director General Climate and Sustainability in April 2023.
Emily has extensive international experience in climate and environment working across Government, the private sector and NGOs. She started her career at BP Australia. She has since held senior roles across the UK Government including energy, climate and green finance policy. Emily led the UK Government’s Brexit strategy on carbon pricing and played a key role in the UK Covid Green Economic Recovery program.
On return to her home in Western Australia, she joined Pollination, a specialist climate change investment and advisory firm. Emily led engagement with C-suite clients providing strategy, investment and business transformation advice on all aspects of the net zero, nature positive transition.
Emily has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Commerce and a Master of Science in Environmental Technology (Environmental Economics and Policy).
