Chris Scheid

Director, Business Advisory

As a business, management and agribusiness advisor for the past 25 years, Chris is passionate about supporting farming families, family corporates and SMEs across South Australia and Victoria to help solve problems, establish good working systems, and identify and harness opportunities consistent with client goals.

Chris advises on a wide range of business matters, including business re-structuring, re-financing, business expansion, succession planning and family office meeting facilitation, negotiation and leasing, share farming agreements, and collaborative farming.

He regularly provides strategic input for clients, and assists with change management and adapting to industry change.

As non-executive chair of family businesses he works with, Chris also coordinates clients’ professional advisor teams – often comprising accountants, financial planners, solicitors and agribusiness managers in a ‘family office’.

He also acts as a project manager and delivers farm management and other specialist training courses. In this space, Chris has previously delivered significant projects, such as:
  • (SA) PIRSA’s Red Meat & Wool Growth Program – 284 business plans FY19-22
  • PIRSAs ‘Farm AgTech Adoption Plan Review – 58 business plans in three months (FY23)
  • “Improving Your Farm Business Profitability” short courses 2016-2023 (with SA Industry), and
