The role

Our Business Advisory division has an excellent opportunity for a skilled Manager to join our Adelaide team. This role provides a platform for you to enhance your client management abilities and foster leadership skills. The role will provide a balance of compliance and advisory work, with an emphasis on managing team performance and workflow to ensure the delivery of high-quality client work and achievement of team targets.

The Manager is responsible for:

  • Supporting the team to deliver an exceptional client service with a focus on quality and an in-depth understanding of client needs
  • Working directly with clients to provide consulting advice and strategy development
  • Tax compliance including income tax returns, financial reports, and complex matters
  • Scoping and managing budgets to optimise productivity for your team
  • Overseeing team operations as part of the Leadership team, which includes recruitment, workflow management, resource planning, reviewing timesheets and expenses, and driving performance development

Our ideal new team member has:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a client facing, advisory role, managing a portfolio of clients reporting to a Partner
  • Experience reviewing work & managing compliance workflow
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree
  • Professional certification – Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Significant experience in tax and accounting
  • Exposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures with multiple entities and technical complexity
  • Sound knowledge of CGT, Division 7A loans, FBT, entity structuring and tax planning strategies
  • Exposure to clients within Primary Production (advantageous)
  • Registered Tax Agent (advantageous)
  • Proven leadership skills exhibiting a warm and inclusive style that brings the best out of your people
