We help energy businesses and renewables projects manage financial reporting, tax, regulation and ESG, so they can focus on delivering reliable, low emissions energy to customers and communities.
Energy and Renewables
Supporting energy businesses and the renewables transition
Moore Australia is an accounting and advisory network that supports energy and renewables businesses across audit, tax, project financial modelling, transactions and ESG reporting. We work with traditional energy providers, grid and network businesses, gas developers, renewables project sponsors and their supply chains. Our advisers sit in every state and territory, and through the Moore Global network we connect clients to specialists in more than 100 countries.
Our teams work with clients involved in electricity generation, transmission and distribution, gas and fuel, as well as solar, wind, storage and emerging technologies.
We understand how regulatory settings, wholesale pricing, connection constraints and long term offtake agreements influence project viability and business models across the energy value chain.
Energy and renewables projects require significant capital, robust financial models and careful structuring to align the interests of sponsors, lenders, offtakers and other stakeholders.
We bring together specialists in project modelling, tax, audit and corporate finance to support feasibility assessments, funding processes, joint ventures and acquisitions, while keeping an eye on regulatory, tax and reporting obligations.
Energy businesses are at the forefront of climate related reporting and scrutiny.
We assist boards and management with ESG and sustainability reporting, climate risk disclosures and governance frameworks that respond to investor, regulator and community expectations.
Our aim is to help you provide information that is decision useful, credible and aligned to emerging reporting standards.
Northern Australia
How do we support gas developments in northern Australia?
Gas from the Beetaloo Sub-basin began flowing into the Northern Territory grid in September 2026, and development of the basin is drawing operators, service companies and investors to northern Australia. Our Darwin office gives clients an established local presence, and our advisers work with businesses on both sides of the opportunity: entrants establishing in the Territory, and local businesses preparing to win project work.
For entrants, that covers structuring, tax registrations, employment obligations and a realistic read on the local market, with international tax, transfer pricing and global mobility support through the Moore Global network.
For supply chain businesses, it means getting structures, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting to the standard that operators, major contractors and financiers require at prequalification.
Energy and renewables projects require significant capital, robust financial models and structuring that aligns sponsors, lenders and offtakers. Our specialists build and review project financial models, run feasibility and scenario analysis, and support funding processes, joint ventures and acquisitions. We test how policy settings, carbon and renewable schemes, technology costs and financing structures move project economics, so boards and investors decide on credible numbers.

Energy transition requires balancing reliability, affordability and emissions outcomes. We work with your finance, project and commercial teams to test assumptions, understand sensitivities and prepare clear financial and risk information for decision makers. This includes assessing the impact of changing policy settings, carbon and renewable schemes, technology costs and financing structures on project economics.
By integrating our knowledge of the energy market with strong technical skills in audit, tax and corporate finance, we help you deliver projects and manage ongoing operations with greater confidence and transparency for boards, investors and other stakeholders.
