She brings extensive experience leading complex governance, risk, compliance, assurance and safeguarding engagements across Government, Health, Ageing and Human Services and Education sectors.
Throughout her career, Rochelle has advised Federal and State Government departments, statutory authorities, boards and executive leadership teams on regulatory reform, assurance, quality assurance, governance uplift, enterprise risk management and safeguarding frameworks. She is recognised for translating complex regulatory and inquiry outcomes into practical, sustainable reforms that strengthen organisational capability and prioritise vulnerable communities.
In her former role, Rochelle established and developed a nationally recognised specialist risk advisory practice from inception, building and leading multidisciplinary teams. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, financial performance, quality oversight and people leadership.
Steven Sakkas, CEO at Moore Australia (VIC/TAS), said the appointment reflects the firm’s ongoing strategic investment in Governance and Risk Advisory as a core growth area.
“Rochelle is a highly respected leader in governance and risk, and her appointment significantly strengthens our Governance and Risk Advisory capability,” Steven said.
“She brings a rare combination of technical depth, strategic leadership and practical delivery. Her experience advising boards and government in complex, high-risk environments will be invaluable to our clients.”
Rochelle said she looked forward to joining Moore Australia and contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s advisory services.
“I am excited to be joining Moore Australia at a time when governance and risk are more critical than ever for organisations across all sectors,” Ms Hawkins said.
“Society’s attitude to risk has seen drastic changes in the past decade, where governance failures of any type or size are no longer tolerated. Moore Australia’s strong client focus, and national advisory platform provide an excellent opportunity to help organisations navigate regulatory complexity and strengthen their governance and risk frameworks.”
Rochelle’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the continued evolution of Moore Australia’s Governance & Risk Advisory division as it expands into new markets and deepens relationships with existing clients.
