Melbourne, Victoria. Moore Australia (VIC/TAS) has appointed Dmitri Filippov as Director of Tax Advisory, effective 9 September 2026. The appointment adds senior international and domestic tax capability to the firm at a time when businesses are contending with rising cross-border complexity, from global minimum tax and BEPS reforms to the everyday demands of operating across the Tasman.
Moore Australia (VIC/TAS) is an independent member of the Moore Australia network, which has four independent member firms with 13 offices and 600+ staff across Australia, delivering accounting, tax, audit and advisory services.
Dmitri brings more than 20 years’ experience advising multinational and publicly listed clients across Australia and New Zealand. His work spans the agriculture, infrastructure, technology, consumer goods, manufacturing and financial services sectors, with a particular focus on trans-Tasman clients navigating complex domestic and international tax matters.
He joins Moore Australia after a career with two of the Big Four firms, most recently as a Director in corporate and international tax. Over that time he has secured and managed significant mergers and acquisitions, global tax compliance programmes, and advisory engagements for both domestic and international groups. He is also a regular contributor to thought leadership, with a strength in taking new ideas from concept through to execution.
A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Dmitri began his career with the New Zealand Inland Revenue before moving into professional services in Auckland and Brisbane, and later Melbourne. He holds postgraduate qualifications in taxation and corporate law and will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office.
