As a Senior Accountant in our Business Advisory division, you will collaborate closely with our Managers and Directors to deliver quality accounting, tax, and business advice to our clients. Working with a collaborative team, you will provide guidance and review the work of junior team members. You will play a key role in fostering a high-performing working environment and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Autonomously preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust and partnership financial statements and tax returns, as well as BAS’s for our more complex clients
  • Preparing budgets, management accounts, and cashflow forecasts across a various entity structures and industries, including involvement in regular client meetings to discuss
  • Producing financial reports, mainly using Xero and MYOB, including maintaining the clients accounting and reporting systems
  • Assisting with the coaching and development of junior team members

The successful candidate will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant (or working towards), with relevant tertiary qualifications and experience within a public practice accounting firm. As an Assistant Manager or Manager in the Corporate Tax division, you will manage the delivery of tax compliance, advice, and transaction services to a wide range of significant and well-known corporates and large private groups in Adelaide and Darwin. Intern Accountant

Start your career with Moore Australia QLD/NNSW through our Internship Program (Brisbane or Beenleigh). The program runs during the June/July and November/December university breaks and is open to students in their penultimate or final year of study.

This is an in-office internship of up to 3 weeks, with up to full-time hours. To be considered, you must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm for the duration of your placement. It’s designed to give you a genuine feel for our office, culture and the day-to-day work of a professional accounting firm—with potential opportunity for ongoing employment at the end of the program.

Rotations by Office

  • Deliver exceptional client service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with Partners, Managers and Accountants
  • Maintain regular contact with clients (in person and over the phone)
  • Set up new clients and update details in databases and portals
  • Support Accountants to ensure work meets quality standards
  • Provide administrative support to the wider team and Office Manager
  • Manage documentation and records
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Check MyGov and ATO portals
  • Assist with ad hoc administration tasks
