I specialise in providing support and advise to local governments across Western Australia on integrated planning and reporting requirements, long-term financial planning, asset management, accounting advice, financial reporting, governance and risk management. My focus is helping turn statutory requirements and strategic objectives into practical plans, frameworks and reporting processes, supporting sound decision-making and long-term financial stability.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, including 19 years specialising in local government audit and advisory services and 15 years in senior commercial leadership roles, I bring a practical perspective to balancing regulatory requirements with operational realities.
My experience spans strategic rating reviews, long term financial planning, asset management, financial management, strategic community planning, workforce planning, governance reviews and organisational improvement. I have been a key contributor to the development of Moore Australia’s methodologies in integrated planning and reporting, financial reporting, asset management and risk management and focus on continual improvement in the services we provide.
I regularly deliver training and workshops for elected members, executives and staff, providing practical advice and insights helping strengthen governance, improve performance and plan confidently for the future. My analytical approach and deep understanding of local government operations are central to my work. I am regularly called on to provide professional and technical advice to both local government clients and State government stakeholders, with a focus on practical solutions supporting sound governance, informed decision-making, and effective long-term planning.
