Michael Sutherland is the National Head of Quality at Moore Australia, responsible for leading the network’s quality management framework and supporting the consistent application of robust, standards-aligned processes across the firm.
A Chartered Accountant, Michael brings more than 12 years’ experience across audit, quality and governance roles in both professional services and public sector environments. He has worked closely with executive leadership teams on the design, implementation and ongoing enhancement of systems of quality management, audit quality frameworks and transparency reporting, with a strong focus on regulatory readiness, risk management and continuous improvement.
Michael is known for his practical and collaborative approach to quality, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of operational realities. He has led initiatives to strengthen engagement quality, improve consistency across audit practices, and embed quality as a shared responsibility across teams and service lines.
