Ilonka is the National Head of Technical Tax and Business Advisory at Moore Australia, with more than 18 years’ experience in technical tax across both the private sector and the Australian Taxation Office. She specialises in providing technical leadership and guidance to Moore advisers nationwide, ensuring they deliver robust, commercially focused tax and business advisory services to clients.

Ilonka joined from the ATO, where she was Director of Public Groups, Law Interpretation, leading teams in the interpretation and application of complex tax law in both the Early Engagement and formal Ruling processes. Her earlier career includes senior roles with other mid-tier networks, as well as several years with Moore Australia (WA) in Perth as an Associate Director, where she developed a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by businesses across industries.

Known for her ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and practical way, Ilonka works closely with Moore Australia’s national network of independent firms to deliver timely, accurate, and commercially relevant technical support. Her collaborative approach helps advisers navigate legislative changes, apply best-practice solutions, and maintain high standards of client service.
