As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in the delivery of audit and assurance engagements, working closely with Managers and Partners while providing guidance and support to junior team members.

You will:

  • Lead and execute audit assignments across a diverse client base
  • Prepare and review audit working papers and statutory financial reports
  • Perform complex audit testing and review risk assessments
  • Prepare cash flow statements and management letters
  • Respond to client queries and build strong working relationships
  • Assist with special engagements including due diligence, internal audit and fraud reviews
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, on time and within budget

You will ideally have:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce, Business (Accounting) or similar qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in audit and assurance
  • CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards (AUASB) and accounting standards (AASB / IFRS)
  • Experience working with a range of business structures and more complex client groups
  • Experience using audit and accounting software (e.g. CaseWare, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
  • The ability to manage priorities, budgets and deadlines

You will be coached by experienced tax specialists and gain exposure to technically interesting matters You will also assist on international-related questions (for example withholding tax, residency and inbound/outbound considerations) and have collaboration with Moore Global colleagues.

As a Tax Consultant, you will:

  • Support senior team members on tax advisory engagements, including structuring, tax planning, CGT, international tax, GST/FBT and private group issues
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing compliance deliverables: individual and business tax returns, BAS/IAS and associated ATO lodgements
  • Research tax law and ATO guidance, and help draft clear client-ready advice and technical papers
  • Contribute to projects such as restructures, transactions and ATO reviews/private rulings
  • Build your career through formal study (CA/CPA/CTA or equivalent) and ongoing coaching, with opportunities to support occasional cross-border matters.

  • A degree in Commerce, Business (Accounting), Law, or a related field.
  • 1-4+ years of experience in tax/accounting or business advisory in a professional services environment.
  • Exposure to Australian tax, with an interest in building deeper advisory capability (tax structuring, corporate tax, international tax and FBT).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clear, well-structured advice.
  • A passion for technical tax issues, with a keen interest to stay up to date with evolving legislative and administrative developments
  • Capable of building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Organised, enthusiastic and driven toward career development and future success
  • A desire for continuous learning and development (CA/CPA/CTA program in progress or planned).
