The CFO Advisory Accountant supports a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed entities, not-for-profit organisations, and small to mid-sized businesses. As an intermediate within our Audit & Assurance team, you will support the delivery of audit engagements and work closely with senior team members to ensure quality outcomes for clients. You will gain exposure across planning, fieldwork and completion phases, while continuing to strengthen your technical capability and client relationship skills.

This is a challenging and rewarding role, well suited to someone who has built a solid foundation in audit and is looking to further develop within a professional practice environment, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the planning, execution and completion of audit and assurance engagements across a range of clients
  • Preparing audit workpapers, programs and documentation in line with professional standards and methodology
  • Performing substantive testing and analytical review procedures
  • Supporting the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
  • Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries
  • Evaluating internal controls and identifying risks or areas for improvement

About you

About you

The successful candidate will bring prior experience within Audit & Assurance, along with a sound understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and professional practice environments. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be studying towards, or aspiring to complete, your CA or CPA.

You will be organised, detail-oriented, and eager to continue developing your technical skills within a supportive team environment. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to your success in this role.

Experience working with a range of clients, including more complex entities, will be highly regarded.
