Practical local government accounting and advisory services supporting councils with financial management, statutory reporting and day-to-day finance operations.
I work with local government clients across Western Australia to support strong financial management, legislative compliance and reliable day-to-day finance operations. My role is focused on providing practical accounting and advisory support that helps councils meet their reporting obligations, maintain accurate records and improve the efficiency of their financial processes.
I have more than 30 years’ experience in accounting and auditing, having commenced my career with KPMG in 1986. Since joining Moore Australia (WA) in 2012, I have specialised in providing accounting and financial management support to local governments, including through remote service delivery arrangements. This has given me a strong understanding of the operational demands, legislative requirements and resourcing challenges faced by the sector.
My experience includes preparing annual financial statements and budgets, managing monthly financial reporting and reconciliations, maintaining asset registers, and supporting GST, payroll tax and other taxation obligations. I also assist with accounting systems, process improvement and staff training, helping finance teams build confidence and capability.
