Intern Accountant

Start your career with Moore Australia QLD/NNSW through our Internship Program (Brisbane or Beenleigh). The program runs during the June/July and November/December university breaks and is open to students in their penultimate or final year of study.

This is an in-office internship of up to 3 weeks, with up to full-time hours. To be considered, you must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm for the duration of your placement. It’s designed to give you a genuine feel for our office, culture and the day-to-day work of a professional accounting firm—with potential opportunity for ongoing employment at the end of the program.

Rotations by Office

Your rotations will be planned based on business needs and team capacity. Depending on your selected office, you may have the opportunity to rotate through:

  • Brisbane: Business Advisory, Audit, Superannuation, Taxation, Forensic Services.
  • Beenleigh: Business Advisory.

What You’ll Do

Across your rotations, you’ll experience what it’s like to be an accountant through a mix of shadowing and hands-on support work.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be in your penultimate or final year of study and completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar degree. You must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the internship.

2026 Moore Australia (WA) Internship Program

Start your career with Moore Australia (WA) through our paid Internship Program (The Program). The Program runs over the summer semester break and is open to university students in their last year of study.

During the Program, you are paired with a mentor who, just like you, started as an intern and will be an excellent support and resource for you during the Program. You can expect client contact, real-life case studies, plus excellent networking opportunities. More importantly, the experience you gain during the Program will help you make an informed decision about your career pathway, allowing you to secure a position in our Graduate Program.

The Program is set to occur over three weeks, commencing mid-November 2026. During this time, you will be able to participate in rotations spanning different divisions, including Tax and Business Advisory, Audit and Assurance, Governance and Risk Advisory, Corporate Finance, Corporate Tax, Local Government Services and Forensic Services. Moreover, you will complete a thorough onboarding process and collaborate closely with an outstanding team of professionals. With an open-door policy extending to the Partners, this experience offers you a unique opportunity to actively engage in hands-on learning.

Pathway to the 2027 Graduate Program

Upon completion of the Internship, candidates may be invited to join us as Graduate or Undergraduates whilst completing university studies. The Internship will open the door to our Graduate Program set to commence in January 2027, a fantastic career opportunity.

Our Graduate Program supports young professionals to transition from university to employment. Underpinned by a framework for career development that supports learning to build technical, leadership and communications skills.

Who Can Apply?

Our Internship Program is open to university students who have recently finalised their studies or that are in their final/penultimate year of university and are studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar. Candidates who have completed studies are also welcome to apply to our Internship, or directly to our Graduate Program via the Graduate Program vacancy.
