About the role
As an Assistant Manager within our Audit & Assurance team, you will play a key role in leading audit engagements, supporting the development of junior team members, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. Working closely with our Managers and Directors, you will take ownership of engagements from planning through to completion, while also acting as a key point of contact for clients. You will contribute to workflow management, technical review and team leadership, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with professional standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced auditor who is looking to accelerate their progression, with a clear pathway and support to move into a Manager role in the near term.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
- Reviewing work, providing technical guidance, and supporting the development of junior team members
- Managing workflow, budgets and timelines across multiple engagements while maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring compliance with audit standards and contributing to quality assurance processes across the team
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, team development, and contributing to broader client growth opportunities

About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience within Audit & Assurance, with a solid understanding of audit methodology, accounting standards, and professional practice environments. You will be CA/CPA qualified and bring experience managing engagements end-to-end, along with supporting and developing junior team members.
With a hands-on approach, you are confident leading engagements, building strong client relationships, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment, will be key to success in this role. Experience working with larger client groups, complex structures or multi-entity environments will be highly regarded.

As an intermediate within our Audit & Assurance team, you will support the delivery of audit engagements and work closely with senior team members to ensure quality outcomes for clients. You will gain exposure across planning, fieldwork and completion phases, while continuing to strengthen your technical capability and client relationship skills.
This is a challenging and rewarding role, well suited to someone who has built a solid foundation in audit and is looking to further develop within a professional practice environment, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the planning, execution and completion of audit and assurance engagements across a range of clients
- Preparing audit workpapers, programs and documentation in line with professional standards and methodology
- Performing substantive testing and analytical review procedures
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries
- Evaluating internal controls and identifying risks or areas for improvement

The successful candidate will bring prior experience within Audit & Assurance, along with a sound understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and professional practice environments. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be studying towards, or aspiring to complete, your CA or CPA.
You will be organised, detail-oriented, and eager to continue developing your technical skills within a supportive team environment. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to your success in this role.
Experience working with a range of clients, including more complex entities, will be highly regarded.

As an Intermediate Auditor in our Audit division, you will be involved in a broad range of audit and assurance engagements, supporting the delivery of high-quality work in line with professional standards and our System of Quality Management (SOQM).
We are seeking an Accountant to join our growing Audit & Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career auditor who enjoys variety, values quality work, and is keen to continue building strong technical foundations while progressing toward their CA or CPA qualification.
You’ll work closely with experienced seniors, managers and partners across a diverse client base, contributing to statutory audits, financial reporting and assurance engagements, while being supported in your professional development within a collaborative and high-performing team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning and execution of audit engagements
- Performing substantive audit testing and controls testing
- Preparing audit work papers and maintaining clear documentation
- Preparing statutory financial statements and cash flow calculations
- Assisting with management letters and audit deliverables
- Responding to client queries in a professional and timely manner
- Working collaboratively within audit teams to meet deadlines and budgets
- Supporting and mentoring undergraduate and graduate team members

You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing quality work and is eager to keep learning.
You will ideally have:
- A Bachelor of Commerce, Business (Accounting) or similar qualification
- 1+ year experience in audit and assurance
- Currently undertaking (or planning to undertake) CA or CPA studies
- A sound understanding of accounting standards (AASB / IFRS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work well in a team environment and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development
