About the role
About the role
As an Assistant Manager or Manager in the Corporate Tax division, you will manage the delivery of tax compliance, advice, and transaction services to a wide range of significant and well-known corporates and large private groups in Adelaide and Darwin. You will play a crucial role in enabling clients to optimise their tax strategies, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and manage their tax liabilities. Working closely with the division’s Director and broader team, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and delivering high quality corporate tax compliance and advice.
Your key responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Conducting in-depth reviews of complex tax returns for corporates and large private groups
- Preparing and reviewing tax effect accounting calculations for the division’s clients as well as the firm’s audit team
- Overseeing the preparation and implementation of strategic tax advice, tax-related transaction services, and thought leadership for the firm’s clients
- Providing detailed taxation advice, report writing, and conducting research
- Building, managing and maintaining client relationships to ensure excellent customer experience
- Reviewing tax compliance and advisory work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and constructive feedback
This role can be based in either Adelaide or Darwin.
About you
About you
The successful candidate will be both a tertiary-qualified and CA, CPA, or CTA qualified accountant, with an existing background in Corporate Tax or Business Services. You will possess knowledge and experience in areas including income tax, capital gains tax, FBT, and GST. Your knowledge of Australian tax laws and accounting standards, combined with your ability to interpret and apply relevant tax matters will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon) is preferred but not essential. You will be solutions-focused, highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities while delivering exceptional service to clients.
