About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor or Manager to join our growing Business Advisory team in our Brisbane CBD office. The level will be determined based on experience.
Joining a high-performing and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional accounting, tax and business advisory services across a diverse client base.
Whether stepping in at Supervisor or Manager level, you will:
- Manage the preparation and review of accounting, tax and advisory work in line with quality and compliance standards
- Develop strong relationships with clients and provide proactive, commercial advice
- Support and guide junior team members, contributing to their development and the broader team culture
- Collaborate with Partners and senior leaders to improve processes, deliver high-quality outcomes and identify opportunities to broaden client services
- Contribute to the firm’s business development and networking activities
- Uphold the firm’s SOQM, Code of Conduct and high professional standards
- As a Supervisor, your focus will be on workflow coordination, review of work, supporting team development, and delivering high-quality service to a portfolio of clients.
- As a Manager, you will take on broader leadership responsibilities, manage a team, oversee client relationships end-to-end, drive business development activities, and support strategic initiatives within the division.
About You

- Completed Professional Certification – CA, CPA or equivalent
- 5+ years of public practice accounting experience with 1-2 years
- Manager experience in a mid-tier to large firm

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Leadership skills including mentoring team members while managing your individual workload

Based in our Brisbane office, you will be responsible for:
- Working on assignments for clients including accounts preparation, annual returns, BAS preparation, trusts/companies and monitoring client management reports for underlying business improvement issues
- Providing taxation services including researching and concluding tax issues, verifying financial results and analysing income and expenditure, preparing & checking tax returns and managing FBT system (information gathering, completion and calculation procedures)
- Preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns and financial statements
- Developing strong relationships with clients and providing proactive, commercial advice
- Supporting and guiding junior team members, contributing to their development and the broader team culture

The role
We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing tax advisory practice. This is a significant opportunity for an organised, commercially minded advisor who enjoys solving complex problems and developing high-performing teams. This role comes with a clear pathway to a partnership opportunity.
You will work with a diverse client base including listed entities, inbound and outbound groups, and privately owned businesses with turnover of over $1bn. The work is predominantly advisory and transaction-focused.

Working closely with Partners and clients, you will take ownership of complex advisory matters from scoping through delivery. You will manage multiple stakeholders, coach team members and, where required, support time-sensitive client work across time zones.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver and review technical tax advice, position papers and ATO engagement matters (rulings, submissions and dispute support).
- Lead tax due diligence and transaction support (buy-side/sell-side), including deal structuring and post-acquisition integration support.
- Advise on international tax issues (inbound and outbound structuring, CFCs, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, permanent establishment risk, tax treaty interpretation, etc.).
- Involvement in transfer pricing work (experience not essential)
- Involvement in Pillar 2 work (experience not essential)
- Oversee and review compliance and tax-effect accounting work where required, with a strong focus on quality and commercial outcomes.
- Manage end-to-end delivery: scope, timelines, budgets and stakeholder coordination; coach and develop team members.

- Highly organised, responsive and calm under pressure – able to manage competing deadlines in a consulting environment.
- Strong complex tax advisory experience with practical exposure to international tax issues.
- Able to translate technical analysis into clear, commercially focused written advice and presentations.
- As you will be expected to manage client relationships, you will exhibit strong client relationship skills, with confidence engaging CFOs, in-house finance teams and other key stakeholders.
- A leader who enjoys coaching and developing others and setting a high standard for quality and delivery.
- Curious and motivated to broaden your technical toolkit (transactions, transfer pricing, Pillar Two, indirect taxes).
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability and a collaborative approach that lifts the team.
- CA, CPA or CTA qualified (or equivalent). Legal qualifications or postgraduate tax study are welcomed.

To support our growing and changing business, we are looking for a manager within our Tax and Business Advisory Division. You will act as a mediator between the team, clients, and key stakeholders to proactively address accounting, compliance and business needs.
This position will deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders by understanding each client’s unique circumstances and ensuring smooth team operations. Responsibilities include building trusted relationships, fostering high-performing teams, developing direct reports, and addressing personal and team development needs for continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Partners and leading the team to deliver upon multiple client ledgers with a remit of varying complexities and industries. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Organising resources to ensure timely and high-quality client work, focusing on profitability and productivity.
- Reviewing accounting and business services for clients, including accounts, BAS, budgets, and management reporting.
- Implementing measures to achieve key performance indicators like productivity, fees, and new clients.
- Analysing financial data and develop action plans to support client growth.
- Preparing and monitor billings on schedule.

- You will be degree qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business or other similar qualification.
- Have completed a CA or CPA qualification.
- You are technically proficient and up to date with the latest accounting software developments (cloud-based accounting software).
- Sound judgement, critical thinking and analytical skills are vital in supporting client service delivery requirements.
- You will also possess a high level of drive, integrity and organisational skills, able to manage and coordinate a variety of internal stakeholders to support the team to achieve goals and deadlines.
- Your key strengths are your commitment to provide exceptional client services, and team leadership. Your highly collaborative approach will enable you to build networks and establish trusting business relationships.
- You hold a current national police clearance (within six months).

About the role
As an experienced Client Finance Officer, you will work with a portfolio of clients, getting hands-on and servicing their end-to-end bookkeeping requirements. In this collaborative role, you will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, to ultimately ensure the smooth running of our clients’ daily transactions.
In this challenging & rewarding role, you will manage transactions in XERO and MYOB, maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities

- Managing accounts receivable/payable
- Managing debt collection processes
- Preparation of Profit and Loss statements & reporting
- Preparation of Balance Sheets
- Conducting end-to-end payroll processing and reconciliations, including superannuation, payroll tax and WorkCover

About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working in a similar role, including bookkeeping, financial administration, or of a finance officer within an accounting firm/consulting environment. Ideally, you will have the ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, experience using accounting software (XERO & MYOB), and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, enabling them to produce accurate work within set deadlines. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with others.
