David Tomasi

It gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment of Michelle Shafizadeh, previously Assistant Auditor General - Technical and Audit Quality, as a new assurance Partner, joining the leadership team within our Perth office effective 20 January 2020.

This is a key appointment for the firm and is in line with our growth strategy. It also provides us with a great opportunity to build our firm and introduce a new service offering with Michelle’s experience as a lead Partner in Assurance Advisory for the firm.

The new service offering will include internal/performance and compliance audit, risk management, internal control reviews, legislative compliance and other assurance advisory services. The Key focus for Michelle will be the state government sectors, as well as local government and the private sector. The services will leverage from Michelle’s outstanding experience and professional network including holding the Vice Chair position for Western Australia CAANZ Regional Council in 2020 and as an Accounting Advisory Board Member at the Curtin Business School.

Having worked for over 26 years within a public sector audit office and mid-tier firms, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that our existing and future clients will benefit from and is a valuable addition to our team as we provide additional services to our clients.
